Why CCBCE?

Location

Our school is located in the heart of Budapest, Hungary. Budapest is a city of 1.8 million residents and more than 10.3 million tourists per year. Our heart for having the school in such a large European city is to encourage our students to step out in the boldness of the Gospel and share the freedom they have found in Christ with various people they may interact with throughout their time here.

Budapest is a major international hub and we are living in a spiritual battleground. Our desire is for our students to learn what it truly means to be in the world but not of the world and to live out Jesus’ prayer in John 17:14-16, I have given them Your word; and the world has hated them because they are not of the world, just as I am not of the world.  I do not pray that You should take them out of the world, but that You should keep them from the evil one. They are not of the world, just as I am not of the world. Our campus provides the unique opportunity for our students to truly grow up in maturity and learn to walk out the Christian life in the world of the 21st century.

Outreaches

Because of our centralized location, our heart for missions and church planting is easily emphasized. Each student is required to go on at least one weekend outreach per semester, however they are not limited to just one. It is possible to go on an outreach every weekend to a different church plant in a new location. Along with several cities and villages in Hungary, our weekend outreaches oftentimes reach into other nations such as Austria, Serbia, Slovenia, Slovakia, and more.

Along with our weekend outreaches, each student is required to participate in a ten-day outreach. A short weekend outreach is a huge practical help for the church the team is visiting, but a ten-day outreach helps give the team a small taste of what it would be like to actually live and serve in their host city. These outreach locations are different every semester and stretch from within Hungary to the furthest reaches of the earth.

Servanthood

Every student is required to spend a certain amount of hours per week in an assigned area of servanthood. Students will be coming alongside different ministries and church plants and serving them practically throughout the semester. This core part of our curriculum is designed to reveal God’s heart toward service and to instill a love of servanthood in the students.

Accreditation

One extremely unique aspect of our campus is the accreditation of our three-year Bachelor’s Degree Program. We are the only accredited Calvary Chapel Bible College and this opens up many doors of opportunity for pastors and missionaries all over the world. Having a degree provides an easier way to obtain visas into countries that may have been previously closed. If you would like to learn more about our accreditation, click here.

Seeing God More Clearly

The greatest benefit of Calvary Chapel Bible College Europe is the beautiful opportunity we provide for our students to dig deeper into God’s Word, allowing them to see Him more clearly. Our school provides opportunities to grow in many practical ways, however our heart is ultimately for the believer to be strengthened and built up in the knowledge of Christ. We prioritize discipleship and push our students on toward maturity in who God has called them to be. Take a step of faith and come see what the Lord could do in and through you at CCBCE.
