Dear Visitor!

We are glad to announce that the Parliament of the Republic of Hungary approved the amendments to the Law of Higher Education (CXXXIX/2005) on the 23rd of November, 2009. This means that after a lengthy process Calvary Chapel Bible College Europe became an accredited institution of higher education.

On the 1st of March, 2008 the national leadership of Calvary Chapel Hungary decided to register Calvary Chapel Bible College Europe as an accredited institution of higher education. The Educational Authority of the Secretary of Education and Culture in the Republic of Hungary registered the school after having completed the registration process and inquiry.

Following registration Calvary Chapel Bible College Europe submitted a request to start a Bachelor in Theology degree program and the Educational Authority, upon completing their inquiry, approved operations (decree OH-FHF/1819-9/2009).

We will continue to take every step to assure that Calvary Chapel Bible College Europe matches all the requirements of the Law of Higher Education and other regulations all the while being true to our faith in Jesus Christ.

We are thankful to God for His faithfulness, His grace and His love. Matthew 28:19-20 continues to be a major guiding principle in operating Calvary Chapel Bible College Europe.
Therefore go and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things, whatever I commanded you. And, behold, I am with you all the days until the end of the world.

Phillip Nathan Metzger
senior pastor
Calvary Chapel Hungary

Accredited Bachelor's Degree

CCBCE has recently been approved to offer an accredited Bachelor of Arts Degree in Theology. It is a six semester program. The first four semesters are the same as the current CCBCE curriculum. A fifth semester of additional classes is required. This fifth semester would look much the same as the previous four semesters. Students will take more Bible classes, plus classes with an emphasis on spiritual leadership. For the sixth semester, the student is required to write a thesis.

Transfer Students

Students who have already completed their Associate's Degree at this campus, or other Calvary Chapel Bible College campuses, may be able to transfer some, or all, of their credits to this bachelor's program. Transfer credits are subject to approval by CCBCE to confirm that they meet the bachelor program requirements.

Students who have not completed their Associates Degree but have taken Bible College classes may  also be able to transfer past classes to the bachelor's program - each class, again, being subject to approval.

CCBCE cannot issue this bachelor's degree before Spring 2013. That is because governmental regulations won't allow us to issue the first Bachelor's degrees until three years after the program commences.

Correspondence Courses

A transfer student may choose to attend classes on site at CCBCE or they may take the classes at home via correspondence at their own convenience.

Calvary Chapel Bible College Europe offers a program of study for those individuals that want to grow in the knowledge of God's Word, but for whatever personal reasons are unable to leave their current situation to attend college full time. Read more here...

Class Requirements for your Bachelor's Degree

Please note, the European credit system doubles the number of credits. Each class credit is worth 2 class credits in this system. For example The Gospel of John class is now counted as 6 credits, instead of 3. It is the same class, same number of hours, just the class credits are counted differently under the European credit system.

If you have already taken 30 credits, under the European credit system you have 60 credits.
